The guided plan doesn't require personal information
The questionnaire at /check/ asks about your claim situation, your state, and general vehicle details (year, make, model, approximate mileage). It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, claim number, or VIN. You can use the full guided plan and read every guide on this site without providing any of that.
Where your answers are stored
Your answers to the guided plan are stored in your own browser's local storage (localStorage), not on our servers. They stay on your device, persist if you accidentally refresh or navigate back, and are cleared when you use the "start over" option or clear your browser's site data. We do not receive or store a copy of your answers.
When we would collect contact information
If you choose to request a free valuation review, you'll be directed to Synergy Auto Appraisals' own site, where providing contact details is optional and only relevant if you want to be contacted about your case. That page and its handling of your information are governed by Synergy Auto Appraisals' own privacy practices, not this page.
Analytics
This site is built with hooks for basic, aggregate usage analytics (for example, which guide pages get read, or whether the guided plan gets completed) so we can improve the site. As of this writing, no third-party analytics script is installed — those hooks currently do nothing beyond a debug log in development.
